I bought an Abraham Lincoln rose at Lowe's earlier this week. I was hoping it would have the deep red color that it states on the tag, but my first one to open is magenta. What's up with that?
Follow-Up Postings:

Depending on climate, soil, sun exposure, recent weather, reflected heat and light, and how long the plant has been in the ground in that spot, or whether it is in a pot or not, yes, Mr. Lincoln can be magenta.

Don't worry my supposed Mr. Lincoln bloomed white and I am pretty certain is actually JFK lol.
