How long to wait on new shoots coming from root or main trunk of rose? I have a couple of roses (own root) that are not giving off anything yet. I've scratched the trunk below ground level and found green. This tell me something is still alive down there. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks. Pembroke

Wait. It hasn't been very warm (we're still at least 10 degrees below average) for very long yet and I think it's too soon to give up hope. The soil hasn't warmed up very much. I don't know how it's been in KY but we haven't had all that much sun either. Be patient.
