Does anyone ever mix their insecticide and fungicide in one sprayer and spray all at one time. I guess it doesn't hurt anything does it?

I mostly don't spray at all, but when I have/did that's exactly what I did. It will work as long as the dilution ratios are the same for both items. In my case it was Liquicop and Pyganic, both of which wanted 3 TBS/Gallon.

I do it all the time but you have to read the labels carefully and make sure that it says it's OK to do that. I know the Bayer Advanced Disease Control says it's all right to mix it with other things but I'm not sure about others.

ok thanks. The bayer advanced is what I use

Why are you using an insecticide? Just curious.

There are very few - if any - insecticides that can't be mixed with a fungicide. Before Bayer, Orthenex was pretty much the regular spray used on roses. It was a mixture of Orthene with Funginex. Orthene, Merit (imidacloprid), Avid, and Conserve can all be mixed with the Bayer fungicide. In fact, they'll work better with the Bayer than by themselves, unless you have a sticker-spreader mixed in (Bayer already has that in solution). They can also be mixed with Funginex (now known as Ortho Rose Pride Disease Control) or Banner Maxx. The new Naturalis L - advertised for thrips - is an exception. It's a natural organic fungicide that will be killed by mixing with a fungicide. Similarly (but having nothing to do with insecticde), you can't mix Compass or Heritage with a contact fungicide like Mancozeb/Manzate/Pentathlon. It's because the Compass/Heritage is actually an anti-fungus fungicide.

I am not the OP, but I have to admit that the rose slugs do tempt me to want to spray again. With over 200 roses and more and more of them sporting lacy ratty leaves, it is just so tempting to haul out the Pyganic. I think if I weren't just a tad to lazy I might capitulate. I can't help but wonder. Does the "natural order" ever conquer the ugliness wrought by rose slugs or do I just have to suck it up and endure? I do squash !!! I squash and I squash and I squash some more, but....there are more of them than one person could possibly conquer.
