| I have had some buds look like the photo under the rose midge question. Healthy blooms and foliage over most of the plant and then a few buds or shoots similar to that photo. Almost like the water shoots you see on bare roots. I thought it was the freeze. This is a photo I took the other day. Please tell me this is not midge! And anybody know what this damage could be? Susan |

| Most likely it was from cold temps while the bud was forming. Some roses can be affected if it goes below 50 degrees while the bloom is forming. I have a bunch of these stunted blooms. |

| I'm with buford, that looks like freeze damage. |
