Have a question concerning the poly., Verdun. I bought this rose 4 yrs ago and it has always bloomed medium red to hot pink/red, depending on the weather. Good grower with nice full sprays. Now someone who is in the "know" has told me that it is a medium mauve. If I exhibit this at a show I don't need any problems. Any thought's on this??

It is classed as a medium/carmine red. I have it too and mine has always been the HOT pink color. It may be a slightly blue toned pink but never mauve.

A deeply saturated purple with strong deep pink undertones.

Mauve? No.

Mine's in full sun and is from Sequoia.
