Is this Electron? It was supposed to be Heirloom

Okay, so I've had this rose for a couple of years -- it came from a body bag so I guess that I should not be surprised that it was mismarked. Heirloom is lavender right? It is a great rose, very vigorous. If not Electron, then what?

I can't say for sure if it's 'Electron' or 'Heirloom', but I can say that 'Heirloom' can verge into the magenta shades at certain times of the year. The question would be if yours ALWAYS looks that shade. Have you looked through the pics on HelpMeFind? You'll see a range of shades there.

Canes of 'Electron' are densely covered with long, awl-shaped thorns. Cutting stems are short for a HT, usually around 12". It is consistently a hot pink.

Could it be Perfume Delight? It resembles mine. Mine's vigorous and very fragrant, though you have to lean in close to smell it in my dry environment, no wafting...

One more, a full bush shot of Perfume Delight. Sorry, I haven't quite figured out multiple pics in one post yet.

It doesn't look like Heirloom to me...even during its color variation there was a softness that remained. However, it does resemble Perfume Delight.

Thanks so much for your input. Seems like Perfume Delight is not as deep pink nor as bright as my rose, unless your photos don't do justice to its depth of color. My rose really keeps it color and is bright. It doesn't have the pointing petals that undercurl as it unfolds. Pink Perfume is definitely too light from the photos on HMF. I love my rose and am concerned as I am wanting to replant it elsewhere and if it should die, I wouldn't know what it is to replace it. . .

I think the difference is that Heirloom is quite fragrant, but Electron is not. What is the fragrance like?

I recall 'Electron' as fragrant, but not super-fragrant like 'Heirloom'. The dense, awl-shaped thorns of 'Electron' are diagnostic. The flower has consistent HT form with plenty of petals and a high center.

'Perfume Delight' has distinctive foliage, extra-large and dense, dark with a matte finish. Flower has intense damask fragrance, not a lot of petals.

Another to look at is 'Pink Peace'.

Hmmm, looking closely at the original posters foliage, you're quite right. My perfume delights leaves are different, very matte. Also my Perfume Delight doesn't keep it's color, it fades... a lot. I still love it for sheer vigor though. :)

Hmmm. The fragrance is medium to my smeller -- but then I have Austins. I'm really on the fence becuz it does look like Perfume Delight, has large dark green matte leaves and red thorns. Very vigorous. But it also really looks like Pink Peace. . .counted the petals 52. . .when I go to HMF and look at the photos, it resembles Pink Peace more.
