wrong shrub rose..............

bummer. i just purchased a shrub rose tagged as easy elegance 'sunrise sunset'. a couple of blooms have opened and they are red! (kinda like my face when i was looking at the shrub rose). i had been searching for 'sunrise sunset' for the past year or so because the colors would fit great in the spot of my mother's garden.

i emailed the greenhouse where i purchased the rose, but, haven't heard a thing from them---so far.

Was it grafted? It probably reverted back to its root stock (it happens) what nursery did you get it from? They should replace it for you immediately if not first thing next season. This happened to me with one of my Austins Wildeve. It was NOT the flower I purchased (came out white and small). Austin's in Texas is sending me a replacement but I have to wait until next Jan. I hate waiting but I guess these things happen.

Chamblee's sells Wildeve own root and has them in stock. I bought one and their supply is extremely vigorous. If you don't want to wait you could grab one from there and have Austin ship you another plant?
