What's happening to my knock-out climber?

Only a few days ago this was a healthy plant. Now in just a day or so about 30-40% of the leaves are showing this discoloration and a bit of curling. It is not surface discoloration and doesn't look like mildew to me. Any thoughts?

It could be spider mites. Symptoms: worst on older, lower leaves; yellowing is formed by very fine stippling between the veins; underside of leaf looks dusty and dirty; you can see mites, webbing, and yellow eggs on the underside if you look with a magnifier. Is that it?

Don't see any webbing at all....and don't have a magnifier handy. The affected leaves are brittle and dry. Even those partially affected, where they are are brittle even if the center of the leaf is still green and supple. It's as if the life has been sucked out of them.
Is there a better time of day to look for spider mites? I don't see anything moving anywhere on the leaves.

They are on the underside of the leaves at all times. Most people won't see them with the naked eye. Get a 6x hand lens (loupe).

Sucked dry is what happens with spider mites. You didn't say whether the leaves look dusty and dirty underneath.
