Scentsational....pink sometimes?

| This is the 2nd year for Scentsational, the mini described as Lavender with pink shading. I've yet to see the lavender at all & had hoped this was a mauve rose. Instead, I can best describe the color as identical to the hybrid tea Memorial Day. (See my pic below, please.)
Everything else seems to match; growth habit, relatively few thorns, and great scent. It's definitely a mini.
My question is for those who have grown it or have seen it frequently--does Scentsational have a wide variance in color and is it likely to be more pink than lavender when immature, or is this certainly a mislabeled rose? I've looked at many pics on HMF and mine doesn't match the color in those at all....but we know how things can be manipulated in photoshop, etc.

Yep, I've grown it and it often moves one direction or another, pink to pinkish-lavender, with the temperature.

Mine was pink at first. Now, it's lavender. It's about 3 years old.

Awesome-sauce; thanks professor & pelican! It sure is a pretty little thing.

I won't argue with the others but that sure looks like Overnight Scentsation to me. My Scentsational has always been a light lavender pink blend but not a solid color and never a solid pink. The bloom of OS is more that oval style while Scentsational is more elongated with lower petal count.

It doesn't look anything at all like my Scentsational. Buds are to fat. Bloom is round and wrong color. My buds are tall. The blooms are slim and the color is light lavender pink turning darker lavender on petal tips as it opens.

I was off yesterday & had to wait until I returned to work today to look up my excel file & see where I purchased that rose. I won't mention the place by name (so that it's not searchable) but it's a reputable place that didn't sell any mini's this past season. I don't believe they had Overnight Scentsation in their availability list when I ordered this. However, that could mean diddly-poo if they are growing it & planning on offering it next year, and somehow it got switched. I agree it certainly does look like Overnight Scentsation. The descriptions are very similar. In either case, she's a keeper.

pelicanhead-----That's what mine looks like also. I wanted something besides another pink and this little rose is an eye catcher. Most people don't expect mini's to have a scent. When they put their nose to this little beauty a big smile comes across everyone's face. Step back and look then say "that smells great".
