... growing this delicate looking charmer? I've never ordered online where can I get one if I have to ~ I only pick up plants from nurseries around &/or Big Box stores (am a chicken!)

I got one last year, it overwintered in my very open rose & flower bed. It just bloomed, with many more to come!

Thank you Karl ~ for making me feel like Christmas Day today!

Received this AM very sweet OSO Easy Peachy Cream & OSO Easy Paprika. They were promptly potted & should look better tomorrow after resting in their temp beds w/ fresh from bag potting soil! Paprika even flashed a bud open to show off that her trip was a piece of cake. Peachy Cream has a few to flash very soon ~ had a few limp tops that I didn't hesitate to clip to make her feel better.

I'll keep them potted for a while ~ w/ getting barraged by storms, hails & damaging winds these past 2 weeks ~ couldn't get their sites ready!

Thrilled & thanks again!!!

Karl, this is for you ~ just an update on the Peachy Cream OSO Easy ~ now in her permanent site since Jul17 & already giving me a preview of how bloom-productive she will be as a mature shrub & how well she grows!

Despite the 3-digit temps these past 2 weeks she does not hesitate to keep producing blooms!

I'm just waiting for a li'l respite from this heat ~ wave & will sink *Honey Bun* in her f/s site. Paprika should be in her home by tomorrow ~ 88* should be good!

Thanks Karl ~ another reason I cant' wait for a bit of cool-down soon!

BTW this is the year of the J Beetles, here & I've been relentless in my pursuit of these rose-bloom-munching li'l villains. I must have drowned in soapy sol. tons of them ~ & think of the 50 eggs for every one that got away ~ so I can't quit the hunt!!! They haven't touched any of the 4 OSO Easy babes ~ thank heavens!

6 OSO Easy babes arrived from IN safely w/ just 2 small stems broken ~ no big deal. I temporarily/promptly parked them in containers (prep'd in anticipation).

I meant to keep them there for at least a week to get over the stress of the travel but today was a gift from Ma Nature ~ cool & sunny ~ lower 80s temp w/ nice breeze & clouds to break the sun, intermittently ~ couldn't ask for a better day, so all 6 OSO Easy (4 Mango Salsa & 2 Paprika) babies are now in their permanent homes! I felt like Christmas in August!

BTW ~ Peachy Cream baby since planting in the ground (Mid Jul) has been a non-stop bloomer ~ started by producing 1 bud at a time daily, now for the first time has a stem w/ multiple buds to flash soon! Honey Bun has been in the 1-bud-a-day stage as well as Paprika #1 (heat-wave may have delayed adjustment time)!

FWIW

This is an up-date on my 10 baby OSO Easy roses, planted during the heat-wave days 2011 in Iowa ~ all are full of buds & can't wait for their shows ~ very soon, due to early onset of Spring, despite the titter-totter temps from nearly too hot to freezing!!!

Happy gardening!!!

Hi Karl ~ Peachy Cream came thru & unfurled her first, followed by 1 of the 3 Paprikas ~ so tickled!!! Temps dropped once more & all the buds decided to curl up for cat-naps! Soon hopefully, they all brave the see-saw temps & put on their shows, if only mighty sun would show up more!!!

I've only seen "Cherry pie" locally. Now that I saw this thread I had to seach out pics of Peachy Cream and honey Bun and wow. Very pretty! I need to find me one...maybe next year they will have more, it seems everyone is caught up in drift and knockouts right now. Even my fav nursery :( I was happy to find one Queen O The Lakes at another nursery though, instead of the endless knockouts (NOT that I mind, but a little variety would be nice!!). Like the OP, I'm just not that into mail ordering plants...I just can't bring myself to do it...
