This is my first Love Song bush. Tons of buds, and two are opening. Gorgeous....Did I say GORGEOUS??! Wow. My question is, many times I like to cut some roses & enjoy the blooms in our home. They normally last a lot longer than store bought or florist roses do. How are the Love Song "staying" power once you cut them for a vase? Thanks!

I do not have Love Song so I cannot answer your question but it is on my list to plant next spring. I am so glad to hear yours is so gorgeous and I would love to see some pics.

Unfortunately, unless family or friends that have a camera on their phone come over--I have no way of getting a picture. I sure hope someone lets me know if these last if cut cuz if they don't I'll let them stay gorgeous on the bush!

I think I would just have to cut one anyway and see for myself how it does in a vase, it couldn't hurt to try :). Especially if she's loaded with blooms! Is she fragrant?

I think mine have lasted 2 to 3 days in the vase. Depends on how tight you cut them. It is a really beautiful rose!

Seil - That's a gorgeous bloom. I've only cut a few to bring inside, mainly because they look so gorgeous on the bush. I would agree with Seil though on how long they last. Here's a picture of one fully open.

Wow, totally gorgeous rose!!!! They may be hard to cut as a single rose because it appears that most branches have a number of buds on one branch. Thus, one may be fully opened or starting to open (my favorite), and the other buds that are attached to the very same branch are completely closed. Therefore, I wouldn't want to cut the whole branch for one rose if it had a bunch of unopened buds attached.

It does bloom in big sprays for the most part but occasionally there are single ones too.
