Bella Roma, 2003 Zary HT has a great looking bloom Seil!

I love this rose. It does tend to suffer in early spring with brown edges, but now it's going great. I have a few FAT buds on mine. Yours look great Seil.

Yes, buford, that's exactly what mine did during the spring. It seems to be growing out of it now that the weather is settling down though.

I like to do the stages because you get a better idea what to expect from a rose. None of them just appear at perfect exhibition form and then stay there, lol!

Mine was slow to get started, but blooming nicely now. I adore it's ever changing nature.

It has been quite some time since this was posted and I am wondering if after a year you are still happy with this rose. It is on my short list for this year.

I got one from Breck's sale 5 roses for $20! Beth, didn't you get one too?

I did, it was one of the ones that didn't make it. I was disappointed. Before buying it at full price I thought I'd check to see how it grows for others.

You can always wait for the sale again next spring. :-) I really like the ones I got from Breck's. Only one didn't make it- Falling in Love.

I got two of these from Brecks also. They're doing good so far, but are obviously still babies.

Mine are at the end of their 2nd year. They suffered a little over the winter and I had to cut the cains way back. They have been slow to grow, but I am hoping that the 3rd year is the charm. I can't bring myself to shovel prune yet because when they bloom they are magnificent, but the plant is not as hardy as I would want. It also blackspots easily for me, but I live in Central Alabama.

If it's not hardy, I might lose it to the winter. Will do some winter protection. Thanks for the info.

mine is a baby too, only 1' tall, but it's not a bad bloomer, 2nd time in bloom since I planted it as a bare root in May.

Mine from Brecks sale this year is struggling now. It was one of the best at the beginning. I'm wondering if I need to feed it just a little bit even though it is late in the year? We don't get a good freeze until late December usually. I will definitely be mulching that one this winter.

Then it moves up from the middle of the list to the top. I think it is stunning!

I love mine, they perform well in the Chicago area, too.

I like mine. I do sometimes have problems with the blooms not opening fully, but that may be because of thrips, which it seems to attract. Great fragrance.
