Sadly I've had them for about two weeks now. I've been too busy to pluck them off so my roses only look good from a distance! Argh.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Can we at least hope for a light plague? Kate

I've been killing a few dozen a day for the last couple of weeks. Normally, they start light like that around mid-June here and then progressively multiply in number over the next month and then back down to dozens a day for another month or so. They started early this year even with the rough winter. I hope that isn't a bad sign. I had them from mid-June on into October last year, but not as heavily as usual. I think I would rather have them by the thousands again for a shorter period than to deal with them for 3+ months.

I saw my first a few days ago and about 5 today. When I came back with cup of soapy water they were gone! Surely not a sign of intelligence.

North central VA, first beetle spotted on the 14th. There are a few more out there now, but not bad ... yet.
