Thanks, Henry. Interesting article and a very intriguing idea. It was also quite interesting that the weevil was accidentally intoduced to Florida in 1964, possibly from Puerto Rico. Add another one to the case for USDA restrictions. Kim

I remember our discussing an old ARS article about how pine bark tilled into the growing fields in Texas controlled root nematodes that attacked roses. Do you remember when that article was published ?

There were two, the first was 1978, The Mystery of Pine Bark by Perry C Brumfield. The second was 1986, A New Method for Control of Root Knot Nematode by Dr. Eldon W. Lyle, Plant Pathologist, Texas Rose Research Foundation, Inc. Tyler Texas. Kim
