| This the "yellowest" Peace bloom I have seen yet on our climbing specimen so far. All a result of record low temperatures, heavy rainfall and unseasonably low number of hours of sun shine.

| As always, Peace is gorgeous, but that is that yellowist I've ever seen also. Odd to hear someone refer to record low temps. I'm in the part of the country that had no winter to speak of and everything is blooming at least a month ahead of time and the temps remain in the high 90s to over 100 on a daily basis and presumably will remain there for at least a couple more weeks. | It's beautiful, Joe! My Peace is always much paler too and rarely has much blush on the petals. |

| Dublin Bay, with all the heat you have tied up there, there was none left for the west coast! June 22 was the coldest June 22 in history for us! At 7:30 this evening it is officially 64 degrees and mostly clear. And yes, I love it! And my roses are blooming like crazy. |

| liza, I'm doing my best to will the heat to move on. Believe me--I want that more than anything right now! But 64 degrees in June? Sounds like a fairy tale to me. : ) Kate |

| I am looking out east and watching the high temperatures and dry weather with envy. The current temperatures and wetness in our part of the world are good for only one thing - black spots! But having heard on the news how deadly the heat wave can be, I will settle for our west coast cold and sogginess. The whole weather system in North America seems to be based on a "push-pull" pattern. When it's hot and dry on the east coast, it's wet and cold on the west. And vice versa. (My tomato plants, sown indoors in Early April, are struggling at barely a foot tall. Last year, they were setting fruits by now. And there is not a single Wolfberry on the bush - last year, we harvested close to 15 lbs.) |

| You might have a sport there. You could tie a piece of yarn around the branch and see if it keeps putting out yellow roses. |
RE: Peace

| Unlikely to be a sport - our experience with Peace is that the colour is highly variable. Here are some examples. Remember, these are all on the same plant.

| Several of those more pastel colors remind me of the Peace I grew for years, but the more vividly yellow or gold ones do not remind me of anything to do with Peace. Very interesting specimen you have there. Kate |

| I'm in the soggy mountain foothills in Washington, and my Peace has always been like Cactus Joe's, very colorful. |

| Hi, Mossy. You must be in the same weather we have - I am about 30 km east of Vancouver, only an hour's dry from the Golden Ears mountain range. Take this morning, for example, it's 12C (54F), cloudy, dark and overcast, raining. And it's not expected to rise anywhere beyond 17C (62F) today. Far from July weather. |

| I planted a peace rose back in April, it had one bud on it and something chewed it off before it could fully bloom, it has been in the 90's in the daytime and 70's at night. I hope it will set another bloom before cold weather, is there any reason besides high heat that has stopped it from blooming? |

| Absolutely beautiful! My Peace has more subtle coloriing, but it gets more afternoon shade. I can't wait until the dratted JBs leave so I can see my beloved blooms again. |
