Need a rose as perfect as Molineux

Molineux is perfect. The shape of the bush is round and upright. Not too short, not too tall. It doesn't sprawl to the sides. It is in constant bloom and the roses last a good amount of time. Disease free here in my climate...

What I want is another light colored Austin with the same exact attributes. Impossible I know... but I'm hoping to get close...

I have tried Tamora and Sharifa Asma. Falstaff, Redoute and Glamis Castle. Winchester Cathedral and Benjamin Britton. The Prince, and Charlotte. Happy Child and Heritage. Lichfield Angel and Pat Austin. Sophy's Rose and The Shepherdess. All are gone for disease reasons or bush shape of length of time it took the bloom to shatter.

If you have Molineux, do you have any others that remind you of him?

I agree, 'Molineux' is quite perfect here, too.

Have you tried 'Perdita'? 'Queen of Sweden'? 'Allux Symphony' (AusLett)?

Or on a smaller scale than 'Molineux' but quite wonderful, 'Jubilee Celebration'?

Does the rose have to be in the same color range? Bishop's Castle has been very satisfactory for me although I cannot make a judgment about disease in your area.

Austin Roses claims that Molineux is an 'English Musk' type rose... Here are some other English Musk roses:

No, I do not know of another Austin with all the virtues of Molineux. I was just admiring my Molineux this morning--or I should say, my THREE Molineux planted closely together to mimic a fuller, even more floriferous bush. Such a satisfactory rose!

Mortimer Sackler wants to be a climber here in Zone 6 Kansas. I keep it cut back to about 6 ft tall. It is nowhere near as floriferous as Molineux and the blooms burn easily in our heat.

Queen of Sweden is gorgeous and floriferous, but not the shape you want. It is narrow, tall, vertical--about 5 ft tall here. It would look great with three planted closely together like I do for my Molineux. That way Queen of Sweden would look fuller. It really is a remarkable rose--exquisitely delicate pink, full blooms, disease-resistant. The look wouldn't be quite the Molineux look since Queen is also a bit stiff looking, but I'd go for the three planted together if I were you. (About 18 inches apart, planted in a triangle).

Another rose that many (including myself) consider to be practically perfect is Quietness.
