Well, I would certainly deadhead them just like I deadhead all my other kinds of roses. Let's face it--a brown wilted bloom just is not attractive.

I don't know if a light sheering with hedge clippers would be good--I don't think it would harm, but I'm not sure it would catch all the wilted blooms. You might need a heavier sheering for that, and I would think a heavier sheering might slow down the next blooming sequence--but I do not know that for sure, so let's see what others have to say.

Myself, I take out 5-6 minutes to stand there and deadhead individual wilted blooms--either with my fingers--snap!--or with my rose shears if I happen to have them on me. Then the task is done and won't need to be repeated for at least a couple months. No uglies to look at! LOL

I deadhead mine to look better.

As long as there is new growth (reddish leaves) -- I would NOT give it a haircut.

It will be blooming again before you know it.

It depends on if you are trying to control their size or not. If you want to keep them smaller then dead heading time is a good time to prune back deep. I've seen KOs cut in half with hedge clippers by mow and blow guys and they bounced right back and re-bloomed beautifully.

I always deadhead the four knockouts I have. I do trim off the limbs that get taller then the others to shape it up.
