Bagging rose buds

I have an own root that I planted a couple months ago, several things about it make me question if it is the correct variety. It now has 2 large buds and I would like to see these through to bloom but the current beetle population wont allow that. Is there any simple method to bag the buds that wont harm the small plant? Thanks!

Draping cheesecloth over the entire plant seems to be a fairly common way to protect an especially valued rose from the JB.

A section of panty hose or the foot works fine. Fasten to the stem with a twist-tie.

Like Michael said, you can cut panty hose for this, and I like the knee-hi version which you don't have to cut. (Our 99 Cents Only store carries panty hose.)

DW made some little tulle "bonnets" that work well to keep the JBs from eating the blooms.

Thank you for the ideas! I didn't have pantyhose but did have cheesecloth so I made little covers from that. The things we do!
