Something has been eating the leaves on my roses, every time i look I never see any bugs. This A.M I went out and there were a bunch of these bugs on the rose leaves. Usually every time I have looked it has been in afternoon.
Anyone know what this is??

Oh my----it looks like the elm seed bug that I read about on Yahoo a couple of days ago. Does it have a diamond-shaped marking on its back? I can't remember what the article said, but I recall them not being much of a threat--just a new pest that has recently shown up, and it seems that it was somewhere in Pennsylvania or Ohio.

The elm seed bug first showed up in Idaho--just recently. Nothing was said about it feeding on rose leaves. It's a pest because swarms of the bugs get into houses. So far none around here, but I believe there have been some in nearby towns. Diane

Offhand, that doesn't look like a leaf-eating bug.
