| Has anyone seen this type of growth on a long stem rose before? I'm posting this for my elderly aunt, so pardon my ignorance.

| It doesn't look all that weird to me. It certainly doesn't look like the witches broom of rose rosette disease or herbicide spray. It looks like fairly normal reddish new growth. Maybe a little small but if you are in any part of this heat wave that could well be why. Frankly, that rose looks very healthy to me. |

| I'm in New Orleans. My aunt says it looks strange to her. It's hot here, but lately, nothing out of the ordinary in terms of heat. |
