| I am still considering if it is worth having roses shipped across country to NY, with its short growing season and frozen winter in mid July. The Tantau roses I wanted are not on the list. I am considering springing for New Dawn, which might be vigorous enough to survive mid summer shipping. The ND I bought at Gardens of Legend and Romance bloomed this summer and turned out to be Viking Queen, also a wonderful rose. Mind, I am not complaining, I got lost and arrived late for the GLAR open house event, so it is not suprising that tags got switched. I do love the soft pink color of my Awakening and of ND, but VQ is also a favorite. |
