From all tests that have been done, RRD doesn't spread to other plants. Folks in Arkansas have tested a number of other plants in your part of the world and found no RRD/v even close to sickness.

The only plant I wouldn't put there is a RedBud (which does get a similar virus).

RRD is specific to roses so you don't have to worry about other plants getting it. Of course, there are lots of other diseases around, so whatever you plant, become familiar with its pests and diseases, if any.
