| We are in the... I can't remember, day of over 100 degree weather. The roses, trees and most of my plants are doing their best to deal with it. Usually after 6 pm the temps start to drop and I go outside to check and do some spot watering. But for the first time since this heatwave started, its still 101 outside and it almost eight pm. I had to come in after 40 minutes because I really feel the heat coming the ground.
Man, what I wouldn't give for a day or two of slow and I mean slow steady rain. |

| So glad mori! I know the feeling when we went through our drought a few years ago. Hopefully it keeps up. |

| My envy runs amok now. We're finally getting those big, fluffy thunderstorm clouds every day in the afternoon, like we would in a normal summer, but they're refusing to leak. It's like everytime I go outside & look up, they sneer down at me [French accent implied]: "Go away or I shall taunt you a second time!" Today will be day 32 of 90+ temps here. At least 7 of those days have been over 100. It's sprinkling here where I work, but only enough to wet a sidewalk. |

It is terrible here, and all we get is thunder. I am glad you are getting some rain. Sammy |

| Let me tell it was a surprise we weren't suppose get any. They had forecast 20% of rain but it wasn't for our area and it was only suppose to last for a few minutes. What we got was a thunderstorm and some lightening. The rain wasn't to heavy, it stopped and start several times as if to give the ground time to soak it in. Unfortunately this will do nothing for lowing the temps which is 100+ for another week. |

| I'm sorry you all back east and mid west are having this drought and prolonged heat. I hope you get some summer storms to quench animals and plants soon! In the northwest-another cool and cloudy summer. 4th in a row-BS loving the roses and tomatoes that never ripen. Beekeepers are now using Russian bees in our area. What is going on?? |
