Star of the Nile

I have this rose and absolutely LOVE its color, but it doesn't do very well for me in this zone in Vermont, and I think it'll probably bite the dust this winter. I was planning to replace it when it goes because I love it so, but it occurred to me that there might be a different rose with similar coloring that would grow better for me here, and that someone might know what that mystery rose is. Any suggestions? TIA

I have 'Star Of The Nile' also, and it is no better here, with no harsh winter as an excuse!

It is somewhat similar to 'Christopher Marlowe', though SOTN is initially much brighter. 'Christopher Marlowe' is a much better plant. That is what comes to mind, off the top of my head. Surely others will think of something closer. Look at 'Benjamin Britten', maybe? I don't have that one.

When it would flower, Star of the Nile had delicious blooms. I died for me to, so don't feel badly. I've replaced it with Velvet Fragrance, which is a horse! Kim

Mine dwindled to a twig and died as well, its main fault being crippling susceptibility to Blackspot.
