 o
Graham Thomas- which one?

I rooted quite a few cuttings, several of which were Graham Thomas that were sent to me. I recently planted two small rooted Graham Thomas cuttings in the ground together and now that they are considerably leafed out, they are very different looking. One has dark green with burgundy blushing leaves, the other has very chartreuse light green leaves. Anyone with a Graham Thomas willing to look at their new growth to help me i.d. the "real" one? I can't even imagine what the "imposter" might be, if I leave them growing together might make for an interesting mix! Thanks!

GT leaves are a bright lime green when young, and fungal spots show reddish rather than black. It's probably the lighter one, though chartreuse doesn't sound quite right.

Yes, I agree with Maichael - while many roses show deep reddish new growth, GT is not one of them. The leaves are a rather lovely light green and sometimes have the faintest red margins.

Thanks so much to you both! Now I have to figure out what is and what to do with mystery rose.

Agreed, my GT has light green matte leaves, new and old growth alike. It would be interesting to see what the other one turns out to be though.
