Any ideas re. this ID?

I collected this from a very elderly lady's place. The roses had been there since at least the 50s.

They're planted in a hell strip, are very upright, with large fragrant blooms, a bit purplish, very fragrant. I thought Chrysler Imperial, looking at her plants, & guessing from her guess, that they might have been planted in the 50s.

The blooms on the cuttings remind me of Crimson Glory--more red. But it's not as thorny as the CG I have from Vintage. Dunno, the plant is chlorotic, the blooms will probably darken in the fall.

Course, there are many other fragrant old HTs

It feels quite "Chrysler Imperial" to me. Kim

Thanks! My first impression, too. Her oldies were gorgeous & so fragrant.

The young cuttings' blooms aren't characteristic in form or color yet, but smell wonderful.
