I have been curious about a yellow rose I remember from my childhood. No one in my family ever grew roses, it was at the home of an elderly couple we visited on occasion. From what I can remember, it was a climber and what I remember most is that it had a heavenly fragrance. It was in the late 50's, so it was really a long time ago, I was probably around 7 years old at the time. My best guess is this rose would have been Harison's Yellow, but I have no way to know for sure. I can't explain the fragrance, I just know it was different than any other rose fragrance I have ever experienced, Aloha would probably come the closest.. If anyone has any ideas about it, if you think that would have been a typical rose for some one to be growing during that era, or any other ideas, I plan to try to find a Harison's Yellow unless some of you think I'm way off on my guess and have other suggestions.
