Is it ok to transplant these cuttings? (crosspost)

Sorry everyone, I know this is in the wrong forum (slap on wrist), but there's not much traffic on the propagation forum lately, so I'm crossposting here as well...

I was rooting quite a few cuttings in sand as suggested by Linda at Long Ago Roses. I was using clear plastic Solo cups and could see some roots growing through the plastic. I decided to very gentley wash away the sand and transplant the roses into potting mix. I was rooting about 5 cuttings per cup. Of 15 total cuttings mixed between Ducher, KPV, and Bonica that I had received in trades about 1 month ago, I had 10 that had roots! My best success so far :) ....Thanks Linda!
My question is, do these roots look like they were established enough for transplanting, or did I get too anxious?

I still have another 10 Solo cups in sand, so I want to make sure I don't accidentally kill them all :)

Thanks, Tammy

Not an expert here, but this is my experience. I experimented wih "air layerings" to get 4 caloused cuttings and stuck all four directly into the ground at the end of July. All four cuttings have fewer roots than yours. With a bit shading, all appear to be alive and kicking.

That's promising :) when I do them in perlite/soil I wait until I see roots wrapping around the bottom of the cup...but I wasn't quite sure with the sand. I tried to be as gentle as possible...

I usually let them get longer but I've never done any in sand before. They look nice and healthy!

That is so awesome! Success is sweet! I recently repotted some cuttings with slightly longer roots and all are happily growing. I rooted them in the spagnum/ perlite. I put some plain/ regular Miracle grow in the bottom of larger cups and kept most of the spagnum/perlite around the babies, too. Good luck!

Thanks, Feeling better....Do you think its ok to repot into plain Miricle Grow Moisture Control Potting Mix, or should I try to improve drainage still by adding extra perlite? Normally when I root in perlite/seeding soil, I just transplant the entire contents of the cup into a big pot...but sand is a new game to me!

I had a cutting that had been in the cactus mix mom used to start it in our green house, she can be a bit "thrifty" so there was only an inch or two of mix in the pot. I tried to repot with as little root juggling as possible, so of course all the mix fell off.

BUT the cutting is doing fabulous 10 days later. I did try to save the mix around the roots as much as possible.

I like the Miracle Grow Moisture Control for my seedlings I grow from flower seeds, and I did put it in my big 15 gallon pots (I added a quart(?) bag of perlite). But, I'm not convinced it is better for pots. I'm not using it for my barely rooted cuttings because I know it retains water and I *think* I want them to drain well.
