RRD at E. M. Mills rose garden

I had the pleasure of wandering through the E. M. Mills Rose Garden in Syracuse, NY.

I was distressed to see that a plant of 'Vanity' appears to be infected with RRD on multiple canes. I sent an email to the Syracuse Rose Society when I returned home, but if anyone reading this happens to be a SRS member, please do go have a look at the plant of 'Vanity' in the hybrid musk section of the garden.

A cultivar called 'Headliner', of which I had never heard, a pink and white HT, is absolutely stunning.

'Pretty Jessica' was in full bloom and so pretty I think I will have to buy one next season. I was surprised by some of the roses I saw thriving in this cold zone display garden, for example Zephrine Drouhin had a lot of growth, and cleaner foliage than many other cultivars. Ilse Krohn Superior also looked well. OTOH, 'Claire Matin' looked disappointingly insipid. Perhaps it does better in warmer climates.
