| I watched last summer YouTube video that Jeri made of Burling's presentation on budding roses and Kim's presentation. That was interesting. Thanks, Jeri for a well-made video. |
| Oh gosh, how I wish I could be there!!! |

| I already have it on my calender! See you there Kim and Jeri |
| HEY KIPPY! I look forward to meeting you. I'll be the short, plump person who snuck a dog into the place. :-) Jeri |
| Great Kippy, looking forward to seeing you! Jeri will have the dog, I'm the one who sneaked in the dyed roses to the Santa Barbara Rose Show some years ago. hehehe. My dogs stay home. They're too little and would fall out of my pockets, actually squirm out. They stay home so they can "punish" me for leaving them by leaving me "presents" all over the kitchen. Wanna couple of dogs? | lol Kim What kind of dogs? I think we could trade but you would probably have the same problem. Dyed roses...hmmmm I told a couple friends about it too, hopefully they want a Saturday on the coast. (He is an architect and does landscape designs from Santa Clarita-so it might be old friends day) I will make sure I say hi and not see any hidden dogs. |
| MY dogs don't fit into pockets. FAR too big. Yes, he DID sneak a dyed rose into the rose show, earning several puzzled looks. But as Rose Societies go, SBRS is more easy-going than most, so everyone had a good laugh over that. Jeri |

| Beauregard is a ten or so year old, 12# throw away Chihuahua - Daschund mix. He came home to give the 93 year old (well, 83 at the time) a reason, or rather, force him to get out of bed in the mornings to take care of him. The dog became his protector lion, until the 93 year old passed away. Now, Beau is MY protector lion. He's mostly blind, very playful and loving and totally attached to me at the hip. He screams for me when I go out side to work. Paddy is about the same age, 6# retired brood breeder Toy Fox Terrier. She was very socialized by her breeder (who is also our groomer). When Susan retired her, she called saying she had a really good dog needing a home. After getting fixed, she came here for a trial and took over the place. She looks like a 6# Greyhound. The one time she got out the front gate, just after she arrived, it took shooting up the street at 20 mph to keep up with her. Fortunately, she only turns right, really! So she trapped herself in a dead end. Now, she doesn't want out the gate, but she definitely lets anyone in the street this is HER territory if she's out. I wouldn't worry about them getting loose as they stay right with me if anyone else is around. Beau is just too blind and both are extremely protective and quite attentive, but they do NOT tolerate being left alone too long without making "social comments" on the kitchen tile. Kim |

| I have my sons former GF's Chihuahua-mutt (Son bought him for her as her graduation present from the university. She picked out HER Malchi Chihuahua Maltese mix, she wanted a purse pal) But after they broke up, she had not had him fixed, had a new roommate with some other female unfixed designer mutt and demanded my son come pick him up for a couple of weeks. It was a couple of weeks after my dad passed and I said yes I could watch the dog rather than deal with her drama. 5 years later...the dog is now fixed, can pretty much walk on a leash-as long as no other people or dogs are around, is pretty good about telling me he needs out and makes sure no one gets too close to me with out a good barking at. He saw some violence at the ex Gf's home and can not deal with fast moves or loud noises. And is totally jealous of anything or one that is getting attention besides himself (that is when "accidents" happen) Basically, a crazy chihuahua. |
| Kim, I should'a guessed they'd end up being attached to you. Jeri |
| I know it was "engineered" that way. I feed them, am the one usually with them, let them out (constantly) and when I get up, they explode in behind me. I am their "GOD"! I control the cookie jar! LOL! Kim |
| I know the feeling. :-) Jeri |

| Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting Jeri and Kim at the Celebration. I am looking forward to some burrito propagation and sure wish I could figure out how to be in San Jose this weekend. |
| Thanks, Kippy! It was a treat meeting you, too. It was a very nice event. The VCRS out did themselves! Kim |
