| Having had problems earlier in the year with caterpillars, which I managed to fend off, my rose is now being attacked from another angle. The leaves are all slowly disappearing, and the plant in general looks very sorry for itself. Its in a container. Ive attached a few pictures for your help please! |

| This could be sunburn, which would be caused by some combination of too much fertilizer, not enough water, and extra reflected heat in the spot. However, the stippling suggests spider mites, which can be a problem in dry weather or if the plant is sheltered under an eave. The mites are always worst on the lowest, oldest leaves. The underside looks dirty. Under magnification, you can see webby fuzz, black fecal spots, and maybe the tiny crablike critters and their amber eggs. The cure is strong repeated sprays of water on the underside. |

| Do it every day or two for a while and then whenever you water the pot.. |
