Wondering how long Bayer disease control stays viable once mixed. I made a gallon and pour it in my handheld sprayer as needed. Should I be making a fresh batch per use? Thanks!

The technical report says tebuconazole is stable in water for at least a month at pH 4, 7, and 9. If you are using a squirt bottle. you ought to be using a 1-gallon pump-up tank sprayer instead.

Yes, get a handpump sprayer 1-gallon. I think my last one from HD was less than $20. If I don't have many plants to spray, I cut the amount of Bayer in half and fill up the handpump sprayer only halfway. Occasionally I have a bit left-over, but there are usually other roses and other plants that can benefit from getting a quick once-over occasionally. Kate

I would stick to the label instructions for any pesticide and Bayer's label doesn't mention storing the diluted pesticide. As Michael says, tebuconazole is quite stable in water but other things can go wrong. For example, tebuconazole is very insoluble in water so the diluted spray is necessarily an emulsion - which may break down on storage.

The sprayer is smaller and a little more convenient than the 1 gal. Same type of application though. Glad to hear the mix is stable. Will dispose of the remainder before freeze though. Thanks!

A sprayer with a wand will let you reach inside the bush and get less spattering on your clothes and body.
