 o
Liberation day!

Today I sought to liberate several rose bushes from the underhanded coup of the volunteer morning glory and wild grapevine that had overtaken a few of my beds. Sure, the first few sweet purple blossoms were kind of pretty, but pretty soon the only things blooming on 6 separate rose bushes was the d#m**d morning glory...Oh Lucifer, what a pretty dress you wear! I think the roses had developed a sort of Stockholm syndrome, as they fought me the whole time. In the end, I resorted to a little spite pruning of some of the more vicious roses...and yes, Veteran's Honor, I am talking about you. I guess everything really is fair in love and war...I have also declared war on fire ants, but that is whole other story.

Sorry to say, you will be pulling morning glory seedlings from that bed for years to come. I hope you succeed in reprogramming the psycho roses.
