Rose rosette disease infecting other plants?

Does anyone have any information on the following report?

"Friends at “Remarkable Roses” on Highway 9 in Cedar Bluff attended a rose conference recently and reported new research is indicating that the mites are beginning to infect plants other than roses and suggest looking at your plants every other day."
