A very good rose!

Do you have a rose you'd like to brag about? I've probably overdone singing the praises of Liebeszauber already, but I can't help it, it is such a good rose for me. Even though the bush has a tendency to get way too tall, which is an under statement, the blooms are worth it to me. It is a nice red that holds up good and my experience so far it is very fragrant in the fall, I do hope it becomes fragrant for me all season long. It's a very good red rose on a disease resistant and very vigorous bush!

Your plant is lovely.

A friend 5 miles south of me (Monmouth County, NJ) grew it, it is not blackspot resistant here. Another case where location is important!

Liebeszauber loses all its leaves here so I gave it to my mom a couple years ago. Its been losing most of its leaves at my moms also.
I had trouble with blooms scorching in the sun even though our climate is not real hot but it was located in all day sun...

But glad Liebeszauber is doing well for you! Your Liebeszauber looks fantastic Sara Ann!

Its a floriferous beauty, Sara. Wonderful shade of red also.

I don't have anything here doing extra-ordinarily well. After the brutal winter, most of my surviving roses bloomed quite well in May but just haven't done that well on re-bloom ever since. Right now they are forming buds in our cooler weather, but I don't see an outburst of blooms coming up. But any blooms will be nice.

I am happy to see how nicely the new hybrid musk Felicia has been growing and blooming since I planted it in the spring, but somehow I never got around to taking pics of it, so I can't show you.

Thank you everyone. My luck may run out as far as it being blackspot resistant when we start getting more rainfall and we return to our typically very hot and humid summers, but lately I haven't had much problem with blackspot and recently I haven't sprayed, but that might have to change. Right now it is a good rose for me and I hope that it continues to be. It's the same with my Peace roses and possibly others too.

Thank you Kate - Right now my situation is probably similar to yours. My roses aren't doing nearly as well as they did this time last year, but like you said any blooms are nice. Glad your Felicia has done well.

It does well here in Phoenix. We've got a bed of them at the public garden on 15th Ave and I've got a lovely one at home. They do get tall and refuse to bloom for a rose show, though, lol.
