Reliable soil test

Is there a home testing kit that is reliable? Or a reliable lab that I can send a soil sample to? I took a soil sample to my local extension agency, tested by the University of Florida. It came back nearly impossible to understand even when I went to the extension service to explain it to me. But what I got was they didn't really see a problem. My roses (and other plants) are in a great sun area, lots of organics have been added over the years. They get plenty of water, which they need with our sandy soil. There are no roots or other obstructions. Plants just fail to thrive there, even tropicals that can grow in any conditions here. It has to be a soil issue.
