That's a beauty, Sara-Ann! It's probably just the cooler temps. Weather can have a lot of effect on a rose's fragrance.

Sara Ann, not sure what type of red you are looking for but Barcelona/Francis Dubreuil is one of the most fragrant roses I grow. It's not a high centered modern tea but it is wonderfully fragrant. Oklahoma is amazing and Mister Lincoln. Have you ever grown those?
Maybe it's not fragrant but your rose sure is pretty....

Fragrance is pretty subjective. I can smell some roses others can't. Many roses accounted to be very fragrant, I can't smell at all.

Weather conditions matter. I expect hydration matters. Everything matters . . .

I had a own-root Liebeszauber for a couple years but I don't remember it having much fragrance...
It did not do well here so I gave it to my mom...
Blooms would crisp in the hot weather and it lost most of its leaves to BS.
My mom still has it and I did try sniffing a bloom early in the season but not much scent up at my moms either.

I have many roses here that don't get their fragrance until year 3 or 4. So maybe that's what happened to your rose.

Thank you everyone. Yes, fragrance is subjective. Sometimes even the companies who write the descriptions don't get it right. Thank you Susan for the suggestions, I will check those roses out. You would think I would already have Oklahoma, but I don't. I've seen it in bloom though and it is really lovely.
