You MIGHT have a chance... Contact Paul Zimmerman as he is licensing Delbard roses in the US for distribution. He may be able to either obtain this one (after quarantine periods have been run) or it may even be one he has. You won't know until you try. Paul@paulzimmermanroses.com Kim

Gorgeous rose.... Delbard is carried here by Cool Roses, on Fort.... I'd like to find a Fla. grower of Delbards, and ask how they like them, their opinion, re: BS, chili thrips, etc. before I go ahead and order any... they sound great and sure are gorgeous...sally

Paul Zimmerman answered my question. Mitsouko is in the US and will be available "over the next year or so". Thanks, Kim. Veronica

Wonderful Veronica! You're welcome! I'm glad I could help. Kim

Good grief, the rose is 42 years old. I'm wondering why it took so long. Maybe we'll find out after its U.S. introduction . . .
|
It could be anything from it was too similar to something an American producer already had in the pipeline so no one wanted to bring it it; or it was tested and found inferior all the way to Delbard didn't have an American agent at the time. I'd wondered why Great News never made it here as an introduction, but LeGrice hadn't anyone here to introduce his roses other than Wayside, and it wasn't sufficiently novel for them. Later, it was too similar to Intrigue from J&P. Kim

HMF says that Mitsouko is vigorous with disease resistant foliage. It is very much like Edith Schurr to my eye and though I love, love, love the roses, my fort grafted ES is the worst bush in my garden. Basically one naked cane right now with two buds. Perhaps Mitsouko will do better. I plan to find out. And I will certainly report back. Veronica
