I tossed the actual sign but kept the metal frame, thought it might be useful for clematis to grow up, but found that it can also be useful for roses - it held up my flopping Won Fang Yon beautifully. They would probably be good for shoring up perennials too.

I like recycling, too. When the grandchildren had outgrown the big ugly rebounder we've kept in the garden for them and we could finally get rid of it we found it hopeless to take apart the frame. So we put it around our new round trial rose bed in the same size. We will keep it there over the winter to deter deer a little, hopefully. In spring we will bury it in the ground to make an edging, or at least a mark of where the bed ends to remind us to cut the edge and stop weeds and grass from creeping in. When the roses have grown a little we'll plant a low red barberry hedge around the bed outside this ring frame.

LOL, I've been using the sign frames for years to tie plants to that are flopping. A bunch cheaper than buying stakes and works just as well.
