Hi Folks,

As per the title, I'm looking for a pictures of specific roses that I could use on my website. If anyone has such a photo of their own roses and wouldn't mind sharing I'd be grateful. On my gardening site, I feature many roses, with growing information, and other useful tidbits, that gardeners would find helpful. Showing a picture of the rose is very important. So if you like sharing pictures of your beautiful roses with others, (and I see that many of you do)please send it to the link below. It would be a great help to others!
Myself, (and my readers)send you a big Thank You!

Question: do contributing photographers get a credit listing for the images you display?

A light browsing of the site doesn't appear to provide any photo credits. Kim

Thanks for asking instead of just stealing photos. We who have had our photos ripped off for commercial sites on the internet appreciate that.

Thank you for sharing your lovely website. It is always so pleasing to find a fellow rose lover. You share many tips that more than a few gardeners will enjoy.
To date I've not mastered digital photography. So I can't share. Sure can enjoy though.

Hi again,
Yes I will gladly give credit to contributors. A picture would be very helpful, and much appreciated! If you want to tell us how that particular rose does for you, and any comments about it, it would help others who might be considering planting it.
I would never (steal) photos from others, trust me, I've had some of mine stolen that way, and I don't think it is right! Please be assured that your photos remain YOUR photos, and I would never use them without permission.
If you view my site, you'll see many roses that do not have pictures, so I've linked the page to a photo of it on 'Help me find' web site, but the site appears to be having some issues, and none of the pages currently open!?!
I'd rather have the picture on my page, with the photo credit to the photographer displayed.
Thanks again,
Happy gardening,
Carol

I don't think HMF is having issues. You cannot hotlink to HMF photo content, it is a violation of the TOS. HMF content cannot be linked to for display on other sites. Is that what you are trying to do?

RE: request for pictures of roses

Sorry,
I didn't realize I did anything wrong! I thought because I didn't (copy) any photo's it was o.k. to direct viewers to a picture elsewhere. I never claimed they were mine, I simply said "View a picture of this rose here". The link put them on the page with the picture, with the credit to the photographer. I've seen it done many times on other sites, so I assumed it was o.k.
I'll certainly get busy removing those links! Thanks for filling me in on that!
Carol
