Maybe just make two trips? Lay them on their sides?

Granted I am buying larger plants that have been potted for a bit, but I am happy to get 5 in the bed of my truck. I do not want canes broken or the plants damaged. If yours are small I would fill the bed with one layer and then set the second where 4 pots meet wit the canes sticking up.

Laying them on their sides and stacking them head to toe would get the most in I'd think. But securing them in the bed so they don't slide around and crush each other is the big concern. You may get them transported but in what condition?
