Are you going to be out of town for a week or 2 and you don't completely trust your backup watering person? See:

My 2 cents worth
As I Move foward I tend to stay in one place for example
Next time someone promotes a asprin ask em to keep it at headaches. Try to understand that being in one spot isn't half bad when compared to one who back peddles.
They who promote have not a clue to 1) how much rain some already or may get 2)how far off season they are to even bother 3) they are very misinformed about how much care folks aready put into there roses including watering needs such as irrigation, if that dont beat the band some of us are organic nuts 4) tell them (the folks on the link )there not doing very well right now and take the asprin for themselves. Perhaps someone else can be convinced it just wont be me.

Unreal.. A leaf gets a headache that alone does beat the band

From another thread it appears that giving an aspirin to a normaly healthy plant can actually be counter productive. Apparently, it serves its "magic" when the plant is under stress.

I would try it if I was living in California.
