Tell me about Chinatown

This yellow classic Floribunda gets high reviews in many books. The color reminds me of PEACE but this beauty is supposed to have a very strong fragrance. David Austin for example used it to introduce yellow and fragrance into his breeding program. So I'm thinking of adding it to my husband's garden (he only wants "real" roses; i.e. Hybrid Teas). However, I have no experience growing it.

So how does this rose do own root? I've read it is very vigorous grafted. Is the flower form reasonably attractive or is this another formless wonder? In particular, how would you contrast it with GOLD MEDAL (a wonderful yellow Grandiflora that I have grown and know makes a great cut flower)? I could just get Gold Medal but I was hoping for something with a little more fragrance. I spray so disease resistance shouldn't be an issue. I[m more interesting in knowing about the plant's vigor and overall attractiveness.

Thank you,

Patrick
