| I cut the last of the roses yesterday. Good timing because we had our first hard freeze last night. When I got up today the garden was a shriveled up, blackened, mushy mess. Even everything under the eaves against the house was toast.
Sigh...see ya next year my garden! |

| Very pretty....now you can start planning for next year! |

| Lovely bouquets, seil. My roses became toast three or four days ago, and my last bouquets are shriveled messes which I refuse to throw out--I'm in denial! Diane |

| I got my last roses yesterday. Cut 3 bouquet's. Put together a 7 bloom (Let Freedom Ring) oriental arrangement for the neighbors up the hill, north. Put together a 5 bloom (Moonstone) oriental arrangement for us and a 13 bloom rainbow bouquet for our new neighbors on the south side. 4 Snuffy, 2 Crystalline, 2 Let Freedom Ring, 2 Moonstone, 1 Gemini, 1 Gold Medal and 1 Chicago Peace. No HARD freeze's yet. Just steady 30/34 temps in the morning for about 10 days. I might get a few scattered blooms for a while but everything is shutting down. The week after Thanksgiving I'll start to pile leaf's into the gardens. It's been a good growing season :) |

| You'll have to keep these images through the winter. :-) Of course, out here, the Teas are still blooming . . . Jeri |

| Thank you all! Les, planning seems to be a year round thing for me, lol! Nothing wrong with a little denial, Diane! Ken, how nice of you to share your roses with the neighbors! I'll probably be doing my winter protect about the same time as you. Just the pots will get winterized unless I have a ton of leaves left when I'm done with the pots which I'll spread around the beds then. I'm counting on you guys out west and down south to keep us in pretty rose pics all winter, Jeri! |
