| Can anyone help a total rose newbie??? Wondering if some or all of the roses I put in this summer need 'winterizing' to survive our brutal Chicago winter? They're all hardy for my zone (5):
Angel Face (mauve floribunda)
If it matters they are all in my east facing front yard. The climbers are up against the front porch so have some wind protection but I don't want to chance it and screw these beautiful plants up. Also any advice on best way to winterize them or "your" favorite "fail safe" way would be MUCH appreciated! Many Thanks! Kelly :) |

| Hi Kelly: I'm Northwest of Chicago, zone 5a. Last winter was our mildest one in over a decade, but this coming winter could be colder. Here's a link to an experienced rosarian Digger Dave in zone 5a, Montana, and how he wintered his roses: |
