help with champneys pink cluster..

I'm a newbie to gardening in general and acquired what I was told a Champneys Pink Cluster. It has just been sitting out in a pot neglected really since about October, but I finally Googled how to care for it and felt horrible after I found out the origins of this rose. I need some input, or a place to start; I found the history, but not really how to care for it.

The rose has a few yellow leaves, but mostly green leaves , it has wild long canes with no shape or order to it at all. I've only ever seen it bloom once, the smell was amazing. I would love to take care of this rose, then enjoy the blooms. What advice can you offer me on the care of this rose? What to feed it, when? Also, can this rose be pruned to make neater? If so, when?

Thanks.
