Peggy M is a luscious double looking pink shrub carried by Roses Unlimited. I have one on order for spring, it looks beautiful. Check it out on Helpmefind.com Judith

This rose also has a wonderful story! If you Goggle Peggy Martin Hurricane you can find articles on how this rose survived Katrina; and the article will list where it can be purchased.I've wanted this rose since I first heard about it a couple of years ago. I would love to hear if anyone here is growing Peggy Martin. Diana

Peggy Martin is a thornless 15 ft. climber which blooms once a year for the first couple of years and then suppose to bloom in the Fall also after two years. Mine had a couple of blooms this Fall in its first year. It is disease free and will spread its wings fast in a warm climate. Patrick

The shrub rose Peggy M was hybridized by hybridizer Paul Jerabek who passed away earlier this year. It is evidiently not in commerce so it will be extremely hard to find. He was from Ohio. Patrick

Patrick is right. There was a good article on Paul Jerabek's roses in the January, '08 American Rose and it has a description of it. "Peggy M is unique among shrub roses, showing the color tracing of Sam McGredy's hand-painted roses on a fluffy full-petaled rose. With buff yellow blooms, etched with pink to mauve highlights, the overall effect is what one might expect from a hand-painted David Austin English Rose." Also, look on HelpMeFind.com. You will see that Peggy M and Peggy Martin are two different roses. I ordered Peggy M from Roses Unlimited, and am looking forward to having it.

This rose was named for my mother, Phyllis, who was known to her family as Peggy. It was hybridized by her close friend, Paul Jerabek, who was a skilled rosarian and photographer from Cleveland, OH. it is a wonderful tribute to my dear mother's memory. The rose is, BTW, available from Roses Unlimited (with whom I have no affiliation).

CMartien: What a beautiful rose and tribute to your mother. There is no information about the hybridizer on the description page of HMF on this rose. I will add it to the comments section and hopefully contact the administration so they can add it to the main description page. Bonnie
