Tiffany scent

Hi everyone.

I gave away my Tiffany rose (which I seriously don't think is Tiffany) because the scent was of apple. I hate apple scented roses.

So now, I'm ordering Tiffany again (from Palantine) and I want to make sure that I'm not just getting what I got before. This sounds more convoluted than it is. :)

So does Tiffany smell appley like the rose I had - or is it really a different rose than what I had and doesn't smell appley?

Carol - You probably know by now that Tiffany is a favorite of mine. Here is a picture of Tiffany blooms at the stage where you can see the yellow, which in my opinion adds to the beauty. Tiffany is one of my most fragrant roses, I don't detect an apple scent at all, but then fragrance is subjective, I would describe mine as a strong perfume scent.

Gorgeous Sara-Ann!!! I didn't know there could be THAT much color difference to Tiffany. Awesome. Mine will probably be the deeper color since it's cooler here.

I'm confident then, that it won't be apple scented.

I don't recall my Tiffany as having an apple scent at all. It does have fragrance but to my nose isn't super strong.

Tiffany's supposed to be such a good garden rose and very beautiful, that I can live with less fragrance. :) But I'm thinking the fragrance just might not be readily smelt by you. I have roses that are supposed to be super fragrant - and yet - I can't smell them. Whereas others WOW!! So I'll take a wait and see approach. :)

I got Tiffany this past spring. It has the most wonderful delicious fragrance of all the roses that I grow. I love its scent the best, a very classy sweet pleasant perfume. It is currently occupying the prime spot in my garden because of its nice scent.

I grew Tiffany for many years in zone 7b Virginia. The blooms looked just like those in Sara-Ann's first picture and never smelled to me like apples. The fragrance was INTENSE. The dominant scent is Damask but with fruity and tea rose elements as well. It's offspring BELINDA'S DREAM expresses the fruity scent much more clearly, but smells like raspberries and not apples. However, all roses belong to the same family as apple and pear trees. Your nose could be sensitized to this particular scent, in which case most roses are going to have some apple-like tones in their fragrance profile.

No, I definitely ONLY smell apple with this one rose - whatever it is. :)
I got rid of Frederic Mistral because I smelled grass whenever I sniffed the blooms. Grass???
Comte de Champagne smelled like dog poop to me. That one's gone. LOL

I love, love, love damask scent and I also love, love fruity smells.

I must try to find Belinda's Dream because raspberry is my favorite scent by far. Makes me swoon. :)

I'm soooo looking forward to getting Tiffany!!!
