| Beautiful pics of beautiful roses. Love your unidentified monster rose. How tall is it? Does it make a good cut flower? |
|
| I love these pics, alto. And you are introducing me to lots of roses I don't know at all. That overflowing pink one with no name is wonderful! What a bloomer! And Ghislaine de Feligonde is so lovely. Can't believe your roses do so well that close to big maple trees. Thanks for sharing. Kate |

| Could your gorgeous climbing pink be Jasmina. Jasmina is available at Pickering. I was studying it closely recently with intent to buy but ran out of money. You might want to take a look. Jeannie |

| Lenie, thanks, Lavender Lassie grows right outside of the living room window and you can smell it through the whole house when it blooms! Thank you Krista, you are always so nice! Floridarosez, this rose must get to at least 20 feet. It does make a good cut flower, lasts a good few days, unfortunately no fragrance. Dublinbay I am surprised they do well too, the whole garden is part shade and that tree doesn't seem to bother them, however now that we've got these 'winter moths' here in Mass, those little green worms come down from the tree and love the buds. Usually the birds get a lot of them but I spend lots of time picking the little buggers off the buds. Jeannie, is Jasmina a Kordes? It is similar, but I think this one is too old, it has been growing on my grandfather's property for about at least 40 years, possibly longer. But Jasmina is lovely. I was thinking it was possibly a Walsh rambler, because Michael Walsh had a nursery there years ago. Before the property belonged to my grandfather it belonged to some other relatives of his since around 1910. I don't know if I'll ever know what it is, I can't even count the number of roses that have been ruled out! |

| What a lovely selection of roses you have, truly spectacular. Many of them wouldn't do well in my hot garden, but it's great to see beautiful roses that I don't often come across. You must have a gorgeous garden. Ingrid |

| Your roses are so gorgeous----Since you are in zone 5 and I'm in zone 6 they should all do well for me--- I love the one surviving so close to that big tree--- What do you feed these monsters ?? Florence |
|
| Hello Florence, I remember you, standing under a huge Zeffy! I don't feed them much, some rose-tone in the spring then my laziness takes over. Oh and I usually give them whatever composted soil I come across in the Spring, the soil under all of the leaves that I don't rake. |
