| I LOVE ramblers, and climber (but ramblers more). I'd love to see pictures and hear about your favorite ramblers and climbers.
I grow Veilchenblau, Jessica, Alchymist, Edmond Proust, Gerbe Rose, Glenn Dale, Jazz, Madame Alfred Carriere, Nymphe Egeria, Prinz Hirzenprinzchen, Rosarium Uetersen, Sea Foam, William Baffin and Tausendschon. Also a MONSTER that has yet to be identified, and one that popped up in my garden two years ago! I'm so mad that I can't find pictures of it!! It's a great rose too! Anyway, you're probably all tired of my pics, so I'd love to see yours. Alida |

| Oh, Florence, those monsters are beeeeeuuutiful! : ) I have a couple modern climbers, but no spectacular pics of them. I'll post a couple later today when I have time, but I'd rather see your non-modern ones. Kate |

| Thanks for sharing your pictures Florence! I love those house eaters...but they sure are hard to take care of when they get that big aren't they? Sorry I am just now getting back to you, I moved so have been busy, and yes dug up ALL of my roses and took them with me. I don't care how silly I looked stuffing a huge Veilchenblau into my car. :) Your Zeffy is so beautiful, for some reason I never had good luck with here, but I'll never forget how wonderful that rose smelled! |

| Im in a tough part of the country to grow ramblers, Ive tried a few of the marginal ones, like mde sancy de parabree.. It lasted about 4 years and I got like 20 blooms, it would grow to about 10-14 feet during the summer and die back to around 6 feet during the winter.. every year more of the original canes would die. Right now I have Quadra, John Davis, Baltimore Belle growing, Im trying to get ahold of a lillian gibson this year. I have several large bushes, hansa will get to 7 feet this year, my great maidens blush to just about that height. |
